Restoring hope to victims of forced prostitution can take months or years, which is why the model for the Streetlight safe house has incorporated a long-term after care strategy based upon a Christ-centered, research based curriculum. The curriculum is being developed for Streetlight and will be utilized in the safe house for group and individual use to stimulate and guide the spiritual, emotional, sexual and relational integration and healing of prostituted girls and will be customized specifically for this target population of traumatized adolescents.
It is grounded on biblical/theological and social science research on trauma and abuse and its layout, vocabulary, and exercises are being strategically designed for maximum learning effectiveness.
